We were served by the delightful Harley in Mowgli Leeds, Harley was brilliant with us being that we were there with friends to celebrate my husbands birthday. Harley was really kind and knowledgeable, explaining the menu to us and making sure we didn't feel rushed. All enjoyed the street food sharer for 25pp we received a table full of Mowgli’s iconic dishes! We didn't know what to expect as this was recommended by a friend, and my understanding was that it wasn't like the Indian we have come to know. Mowgli is all about the type of food that Indians cook and eat at home the dishes full of fresh, bright, intense flavour and were more like an Indian taps, the food at Mowgli felt so more healthy than normal Indian food. The decor at Mowgli Leeds was beautifully simple. The restaurant felt very clean. We definitely plan to return. Thank you, Harley, for a lovely experience.

When shopping we always like to try something new, we are aware that Mowgli has been around for sometime but we have just never got round to eating there. That has now changed, we booked in advance which was very easy for 2.30. Mowgli is near to the Q Park Albion Street so park there if you don’t fancy a trek. When we arrived we were greeted with a friendly face and the atmosphere was buzzing but quite relaxed. Holly J came over and we ordered some drink while we looked at the menu, when she came back we ordered the platter for two(see menu) which I felt was competitively priced per person and waited for our food to arrive. A man arrived quite quickly with our food where the dishes came in 3 pots and a 4th for our rice. Two other trays appeared which had contained our Chat Bombs and tamarind fries. The man explained that you put the entire chat bomb in your mouth instead of taking a bite out of it as they can be quite messy (filled with yogurt). The meal itself was superb, the meat dishes we had were perfect (vegan options available) but note; the amount of food was just enough without feel full and uncomfortable. We also had dessert which was salted caramel sorbet sprinkled with pomegranates which finished off the meal perfectly. As a side note; each dish complements the others and the whole experience was superb. Once we asked for the bill we were surprised that it only cost 58.75 which is well worth it but take note they do add a 10% service charge and add another 1 pound which goes to charity. These extras are not an issue but if it is an issue to anyone I would not go as it is compulsory. We will be going again quite soon to try other things on the menu. Good job Mowgli, we will be back.

I had such a great solo dining experience - the Mowgli Leeds team were kind, attentive and really helped me feel at ease. Particularly loved the angry bird chicken and the old fashioned. It would be great if there was a set meal option for solo diners, though.

Mowgli is somewhere I keep coming back to, partly because of the gorgeous street-style food and also the atmosphere. The staff are always very friendly and knowledgeable about the food that is served - the waitress that we spoke to said that as part of their training, they work in the kitchens so they can experience the food at every stage of its creation. We had the lunchtime sharing menu, which was delicious and gave a sample of a good amount of dishes. The tiffin box was chef’s choice, but we were told we could request certain dishes if we wanted - it had to be the house lamb curry! All in all, it was another great meal and a smashing addition to a great day out.

I had the most delicious meal at Mowgli in leeds yesterday! The restaurant was such a cute vibe and the Mother Butter was absolutely sensational! Thank you so much to my smiley sever Cameron who was so lovely and helped me pick out some great recommendations! Will definitely be back!

Love the food at Mowgli as it's a little bit different; fruity and spice and all things nice; every mouthful has lots of flavour and the heat gently creeps in but doesn't overwhelm the dish. Staff were great in their advice - especially as it was a very hot day. The 2 starters were just what the doctor ordered! Love the decor too. All that was missing was Nisha!

First time here the restaurant looked warm and inviting. Sat down at the back of the restaurant unfortunately very uncomfortable seating with a wooden back rest. It took awhile for the staff to come and ask us to order drinks and food, but they were very polite and pleasant. Just think they were under staffed that day. We ordered the street food Sharing meal and my children ordered two different curry’s. The food came quite quickly and was really nice. Street food was definitely worth a try. My children’s ordered different curry’s and both very nice.

An amazing dining experience, we tried the set 35 per head menu with only one meat option as my wife is vegetarian. But everything was amazing. Each dish was bursting with flavour and super well presented. The staff were excellent and service was speedy but very friendly. The restaurant has a great look about it with fairy lights and plants everywhere. I'm terrible with names so I can't post the names of the dishes I had but everyone of them was amazing. I will definitely be visiting again.
